Overview

The instant quote tool is a small tool you put on your roofing website. A homeowner types in their address, and in a few steps they see a ballpark price range for a roof replacement — right there on the page.

Who it's for

You're a roofer who wants more leads from the website you already have. A visitor types their address, sees a ballpark price, and you get their name, email, and address by email every time — plus a text to your phone if you turn on text alerts. You set the prices. You get the lead.

What a homeowner sees

The instant quote tool walks a homeowner through six short steps:

  1. Landing. They see your business name and a "Get started" button.
  2. Address. They type their street address.
  3. Confirm the house. They see a satellite photo of the roof we measured and confirm it's the right building, or tap another building nearby.
  4. One quick question. How many layers of shingles are on the roof now. If satellite data isn't available for that address, a few short questions about the home take its place.
  5. Your details. Before they see a number, they enter their name and email — phone is optional here — so we can send them a copy of their estimate.
  6. Price range. They see price cards for each material you offer, with a low and a high number, plus a button to schedule a free inspection.

A homeowner enters their name and email (phone is optional) before the price range shows — their estimate is emailed to them the moment they submit that step.

What "measured from satellite" means

When we can, we measure the actual roof from satellite and building-outline data instead of guessing from the size of the house. That's what "measured from satellite" means throughout these docs — it is not a site visit and never a laser scan. It's a ballpark measurement, refined at the free in-person inspection.

Ballpark estimate, not a binding quote. Every number the tool shows is a starting point for a conversation, not a signed price. The final price is set after a free inspection.

If you have a RuufPro website

If you also have a website through RuufPro, its dashboard has a separate Website tab with its own set of docs — how to edit your Hero and About sections, services and service areas, reviews, photos, FAQs, your contact form, and how to move your site or change its admin email.
