Services & areas

If your site was built to list what you do (services, like "Roof Repair") or where you work (service areas, like "Roofing in Austin, TX"), each one is its own page. They work the same way to edit — only the words on the page are different.

Don't edit these through WordPress's normal "Posts"-style editor screen. If you open one there, you'll see a note telling you to use the Website Editor instead — that's the right place, and it's where the steps below happen.

How to edit one

  1. Open your website and click Edit this page in the black bar at the top. Or, in your WordPress admin sidebar, click Website Editor.
  2. Click the Content tab.
  3. Click the Page dropdown. Services and service areas are listed alongside your regular pages, each labeled with its type — like "Roof Repair (service)."
  4. Pick the one you want to change.
  5. Edit the fields you see: the page heading, intro paragraph(s), the homepage teaser line, body sections, FAQs, and the closing call-to-action.
  6. Click Save.

Test it: open that service or service-area page on your live site and check your change is there.
