Reviews, photos & FAQs

Your website has three kinds of repeating content: customer reviews, gallery photos, and FAQ questions and answers. You do not edit these on WordPress's "Pages" screen. Each one has its own spot in the Website Editor.

Where to start, every time

1. Open your website and click Edit this page in the black bar at the top (you must be logged in to see it). This turns on click-to-edit right on the page. Or, in your WordPress admin sidebar, click Website Editor.
2. In the Website Editor, look at the tabs on the left: Content, Reviews, Photos, Menu, Global Values, Theme.

Add or edit a customer review

1. In the Website Editor, click the Reviews tab.
2. You'll see a list of your current reviews. Click Add to start a new one, or scroll to an existing review to change it.
3. Fill in the fields: the reviewer's name, the review text, the star rating, where it came from (like Google or Yelp), the date, and a link to the original review if you have one.
4. To change the order reviews appear in, use Move up / Move down on that review.
5. To remove a review, click Remove on it.
6. Click Save.

Test it: go to your live website and look at the reviews/testimonials section. Your change should be there. If it isn't yet, wait a few seconds and refresh.

Add or edit gallery photos

1. In the Website Editor, click the Photos tab.
2. Click Add photo. This opens your WordPress media library — upload a new photo or pick one you already uploaded.
3. For each photo, type in Alt text — a short, plain description of what's in the picture (this helps search engines and people using screen readers).
4. Use Move up / Move down to reorder photos, or Remove to take one out.
5. Click Save.

Test it: go to your live website's gallery section and check the new photo shows up in the right order.

Add or edit an FAQ

FAQs live on the specific page they belong to, not in their own separate list.

1. In the Website Editor, click the Content tab.
2. Use the Page dropdown to pick the page with the FAQs you want to change (often the Home page or a service page).
3. Scroll down to the FAQs field. Each row is one question-and-answer pair.
4. Click Add to create a new question and answer, type into the existing boxes to edit one, or click Remove to delete one.
5. Click Save.

Test it: open that page on your live site and check the FAQ section.

Good to know

• Reviews, photos, and FAQs are separate from Global Values and Theme — those two tabs are for site-wide info and design, not this kind of repeating content.
• Saving can take a few seconds to show up live. If your change doesn't appear right away, wait a moment and refresh.
• Only publish real content. Don't leave placeholder or example reviews, photos, or FAQs on your live site.
• Photos come from your WordPress media library, the same place other images on your site are stored — nothing extra to set up.
• There's no separate "Add New" button for reviews or photos the way WordPress has for blog posts. You add and remove them right inside the Reviews and Photos tabs, using the Add/Remove buttons described above.
