FAQ

For roofers

How long does setup take?

There's no lengthy onboarding — fill in your prices on your settings page, test it, and publish when you're ready.

Do I need technical skill to install it?

No. You paste one script tag where you want the tool to show up. There's no code to write.

What platforms does it work on?

Any site builder that lets you paste custom HTML or JavaScript, including WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, and most GoDaddy plans. Google Sites blocks script tags — use your public link there instead.

Do I need a new website?

No. It's one script tag added to your existing site.

What's the difference between the three placements?

Inline sits directly in a page. A floating button and a side tab both add a small launcher that opens the tool in a pop-up — pick whichever fits your site's look. See Putting it on your website.

Can I install it on more than one site?

Yes — the same script tag works on any site you paste it into.

Can I turn it off?

Yes. Unpublish it from your settings page, or remove the script tag from your site.

How do I verify it's working?

Use the live preview on your settings page, or open your own public link and run through it with a real address.

Can I customize the contact form's fields?

Not yet. The contact form's fields (name, phone, email, address, service, message, consent) are fixed.

Where do disclaimers go?

Not yet. The "Ballpark estimate — not a binding quote" line is fixed and always shown; there's no separate custom disclaimer field to add your own legal text.

What controls the price range width?

Your range-width setting, plus automatic widening when a measurement is less certain. See Pricing settings.

Can I price different materials separately?

Yes — each material, and each tier within a material, has its own rate.

Can pricing differ by service area?

Not yet. One set of prices covers your whole account, everywhere it's used.

Can I limit where quotes are offered?

Not yet. There's no service-area radius setting.

Does it work for commercial jobs?

The pricing model is built for residential roofs. It isn't set up for commercial jobs.

What happens to a homeowner who only gives an address?

Nothing is recorded. A lead is only created once they submit their name and email, right before their price range shows.

Does it integrate with my CRM?

Not yet. Leads go to your lead email address; there's no direct CRM connection yet.

Can it connect to a measurement provider like EagleView?

Not yet. Measurements come from our own satellite and building-outline lookup.

Can I offer financing?

Yes — list your financing partners and a financing line shows under the price cards. There's no built-in loan application inside the tool.

Can multiple staff use the account with different access levels?

Not yet. There's one settings link per account, not separate staff logins.

Can I track ad campaign performance?

Not yet. There's no built-in analytics dashboard or ad-tag setup.

Can I share the tool without embedding it on my site?

Yes — every account has its own public link, plus a downloadable QR code you can print anywhere.

Can I preview changes before homeowners see them?

Yes — your settings page has a live preview, and you can try your own unpublished page in full before you publish.

What happens if I unpublish it?

Visitors to your link see a neutral page with none of your business details or prices on it.

For homeowners

Is this a real quote, or just a guess?

It's a ballpark estimate, not a binding quote. The real price is set after a free in-person inspection.

How do you know my roof's size without visiting?

We measure it from satellite imagery and building-outline data. See How the measurement works.

How accurate is this number really?

It's a starting point, confirmed at your free inspection. When the underlying measurement is less certain, the tool automatically shows a wider range.

Will the final price go up?

It's possible — things a satellite can't see, like decking damage under old shingles, are found at the free inspection and can change the price.

Do I have to give my phone number to see a price?

No, phone number is optional. You do need to enter your name and email first, though — that's how we send you a copy of your estimate.

Will I get spammed after I enter my info?

You only agree to be contacted about your estimate by the roofer whose page you used, and you can opt out at any time — that's stated right on the consent checkbox before you submit.

Can you see problems hidden under my shingles?

No. Hidden damage isn't visible from satellite imagery. That's exactly what the free in-person inspection is for.

What if my roof has a weird shape, or a separate building?

If we're asking questions instead of measuring, roof shape is one of them. If a separate structure like a garage shows up near your home, you can say whether to include it.

Does the price include tear-off and disposal?

The rate the roofer set is an all-in installed price. If there's a second layer of shingles to remove, that extra tear-off work is added in.

Can I compare different materials side by side?

Yes — every material and tier the roofer has turned on shows up as its own price card.

Do I still need an in-person inspection?

Yes, always, before any work begins. The instant estimate is a starting point for that conversation, not a replacement for it.

Can I save this quote and come back later?

Yes — we email you a copy of your estimate as soon as you enter your email, right before your price range shows.

Does this work on my phone?

Yes. It's a normal web page — no app to download.

Is my personal data safe?

Your information goes only to the roofer whose page you used. We don't sell or share leads, and there's no marketplace where other companies can see them. See Privacy & data.

Why is the price a range, not one number?

The range accounts for the roofer's own pricing variance, plus how certain the roof measurement is for your address.
